Youth for Christ Highlands County- End of Year Challenge

We're so thrilled to invite you to participate in our End of Year Matching Gift Challenge, pledged by an anonymous supporter who will match up to $10,000!

By God's grace, the ministry of Youth for Christ in Highlands County has been thriving. YFC has the privilege of being in front of more than 1,060 students each school year, spanning across the county.  We have Campus Life clubs at five middle schools and all three high schools.  Our staff and forty-five active volunteers (Ministry Leaders) serve at these clubs and additionally, at seven Girl Talk groups and one Dude Stuff (our on-campus small groups). We also have a YFC Core group which is comprised of a team of students with adult coaches who learn how to invite their friends to discover Jesus.  Across Highlands County, nearly twenty churches partner with us to serve students throughout the year, through volunteering, giving financially, and prayer support.  In 2018, with the help of church partners and community leaders, we opened our first City Life Teen Center in downtown Sebring.  

We're asking you to consider giving towards our End of Year Matching Gift Challenge because the ministry of Youth for Christ is making a measurable, valuable impact in our community.  And we ask you to consider giving not merely because the impact is measurable- but because the impact is eternal. The men and women who volunteer with us are modeling consistency, compassion and the light and life of Jesus Christ to the next generation in ways that are far more than just statistics.  Our leaders and ministry partners are doing exactly what Paul wrote to the Thessalonians: they are "well-pleased to impart to [students] not only the gospel of God, but also our very lives."  It is a mighty work of the Lord and we are amazed and grateful to be a part of it. 

For over twenty-one years now, students in Highlands County have been exposed to the gospel of Jesus through the ministry of Youth for Christ.  We are able to serve in the broad capacity we do because of your generosity over the years. Your gift has a direct and boundless impact on the lives of young men and women in our community.  When you participate in our End of Year Challenge, you are supporting the gospel-driven relationships and Christ-centered conversations that are changing eternities.
