Greetings from Youth With A Mission Paris Connect!

My name is Adam Thompson and along with my wife Leah, we lead the base here in Paris. After a journey of 10+ years with YWAM in Australia and France, we felt God lead us to pioneer a new base in Paris. Our long-term vision is to be a dynamic urban family of international believers, committed to knowing God and making Him known through evangelism, training and mercy ministries. We are called by God to have a major focus on cities, youth and the unreached in Europe, Asia and North/West Africa. We want to see Paris transformed by the power of God and for it to be a launching pad to the nations.

We began in October 2017 with 11 staff and since then we have grown to over 30 full time staff. We have completed 5 Discipleship Training Schools, our 6-month entrance level program, totaling 80 students. Through these schools we were able to reach and impact 25 surrounding nations during the 3-month outreach phase. We also ran our yearly, two-week Summer Outreach event called the “Paris Je t’aime” with 130 participants, and saw salvations, healings and many being impacted through the gospel.

In November 2018, the owner of our base property approached us and offered to sell it to us! After seeking the Lord we felt this is the right direction, so we made an offer of 1.9 million Euros. He agreed on the price. We now have a legal document, signed through a notary, which declares the owners intent to sell to us. We have also consulted our lawyers and prepared our legal structure for the purchase. We’ve hired architects to seek legal permissions from the Town Planning Office, enabling us to do all we want to do with the land and development.

We now feel we have positioned ourselves well to begin our fundraising project. Our total need is 2,500,000 Euros, which includes all fees and renovations, We have saved and raised an initial 40,000 Euros.

The reason I write this letter of appeal is to ask if you would pray, and partner with us by giving to this project. Our first step is toraise the initial 500,000 euros, 20% of the total 2.5 million. Below is a breakdown on how we feel this goal can be achieved.
