Greetings from the Cochardo family! Thank you for taking time out of your busy lives to read some news about our family. We want to share with you some of what God has been doing in our lives lately.
A NEW PATH...
This past April, Stasi and I read the book, "Radical," by David Platt. God used this book to awaken a passion in both of us for world missions. Through this book, godly counsel, a short vision trip, and MUCH prayer, God has continued to lead us down this "new path," which we believe is full-time mission service!
The next phase of our journey is a three week family trip to Alaska in May or June of 2020. We will be serving with Kingdom Air Corps, an aviation-centered ministry. They spread the gospel through the training of bush pilots and airplane mechanics. We are not planning on becoming pilots or mechanics at this point; rather, we plan on serving and supporting those that are.
We are fairly sure that KAC is where God wants us, but we are open to His hairpin turns and will follow wherever He leads... one step at a time.
Two verses of Scripture that have encouraged us lately are Matthew 10:39 and Matthew 4:10b, "Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it," and "You will worship the Lord your God and Him only will you serve."
We desperatley need your prayers as we move forward. We also ask for you to prayerfully consider partnering with us as we raise funds for our trip. Our partnerships will be consistent with the biblical model of mission service and financial support that Paul describes in 1 Corinthians 9. Our flights will be between $6,000-$9,000, depending on when they are purchased. We would also like to raise another $3,000 for our room and board at KAC. There are 8 of us!
This is a lofty financial goal, but we are trusting that if God is calling us then He will raise up those who will send us!
Thank you again for reading. Hopefully, this is the first of many updates from the Cochardo family. We are thankful for each and every one of you. We hope to connect soon with details about our trip and how God is directing us.
If you would like to know more about KAC, our potential role, or just have any questions, we would love to hear from you.
Thank you and God bless!
