Dear Friends, Family, and Colleagues,

We are humbly requesting you to kindly help us raise funds for our dad’s skyrocketing ICU hospital bill.

Our father, Elder Peter, has been suffering from the long-term impacts of Type 2 Diabetes & Hypertension for the past two decades. By the grace of God, we, as the Odero’s family, have witnessed him fight these diseases through several medications, multiple eye surgeries, & healthy lifestyle choices. He had been doing well until about two weeks ago when a new pneumonia infection affected his lungs and worsened his diabetes and blood pressure leading to acute kidney injury (AKI). His condition was so grave that he was placed on artificial oxygen & had to be placed under constant monitoring in the intensive care unit (ICU) at Mediheal hospital in Nairobi, Kenya.

While in the RICU (Renal Intensive Care Unit), Elder Peter has undergone several tests, procedures, imaging, & treatments including artificial Oxygen to help him breathe. The damage to his kidneys is so severe that he requires dialysis every other day & further treatments for him to survive.

These interventions are expensive, averaging about $1000 per day. At this point, we’ve exhausted his insurance coverage & our emergency funds. Thus, we are calling on you, our friends, extended family, and colleagues, to help us raise funds for our dad’s medical care.

As you may be aware, Elder Peter is also a husband, a father, a grandfather, and an active member of his church and community, and above all, a friend, and a mentor to the youth. Please consider contributing to this fundraiser to get him back on his feet to continue serving God & fellow humans.

Below are ways in which you can give:

The Odero’s Family
