A Mom and a Truck

This is for my 78 year old mom, Loretta.  We lost my stepdad from cancer in 2019 so I took over caring for her now, pay her bills, drive up to take her shopping and to appts. 

These last few years have been very difficult for her and I want to do some REALLY special things for her:

• Pay off a home equity loan she took out a couple years ago
• Help to pay her part time caregiver who's really amazing and loves my mom.
• Have some maintenance work done on her house including replacing the broken HVAC which costs about $8000-9000.
• A few additional gifts and surprises like getting her a new laptop or home WIFI.

  She's pretty self sufficient but does need some help due to mild dementia.

Unfortunately for me...the travelling up to see her all these years has taken a toll on my truck which now requires extensive and costly work on the brakes and suspension (new rotors, axles, calibers, etc), about $2k to fix everything. 

So now, I can't drive up there to see her until I get it repaired as it's a safety issue.  Because I work only part time in addition to starting up a voice over and narration business, it's been financially challenging until I start gaining steady clients.
