Calling all prayer warriors. Christine Chandler, a beloved friend of mine is going through a dark valley. On Thursday, August 28, 2025, Christine began to experience what she thought was one of the worst migraines she's ever had. By Saturday evening, she was in the ICU. It was discovered that Christine suffered a brain bleed. Per the doctors, someone or something (God) was watching over her because they have no idea how she came into the ER on Saturday still alert. Praise the Lord that Christine is still with us, such great news!

More good news, the bleeding appears to be stopping and she is stable for now! However, now the bad news and why we would love and apprecitate any prayers and fiancial support that you can offer. Unfortunately, the doctors have been unable to identify what led to the brain bleed in the first place. Determining why is important as it guides future decisions, gives the doctors a better idea of the best course of action for treatment, and can shed some light on recovery and long-term impact.

Christine continues to be in the ICU and continues to undergo testing. Last update the doctors provided put her time in the hospital to be between 3 more days and 3 more weeks, it's just all unknown right now. Also unknown is recovery for some vision and memory impacts which can affect how quickly she can get back to 'normal' life.

Christine is BCBA who works with a team of clinicians and individuals on the autism spectrum. She's also the main income for their beautiful family as Dustin (her husband) cares for their three children (a middle schooler, pre-kindergartener, and three year old). I know they would appreciate any and all support from prayers to financial support to encouragement.

Christine is one of the sweetest, kindest souls I know. She's a sister in Christ, an active member of a Bible study, attends her church regularly. She's the best mom to her girls and a great wife. Let's rally around her and her family during this time to show them how the Lord will graciously and generously use her village.

We love you Chandler family!

With Christine’s permission, I’m sharing update as of Sept. 2nd: Christine is out of ICU and has been moved to the neurological step-down unit. Doctors also informed her that it was a hemorrhagic stroke that caused this. She will be undergoing some additional testing to see what caused the stroke as she is young and does not have a family history of concern.
