A New Hope for Camille: The Road to Recovery

Our daughter, Camille, is a bright, kind, and creative young woman with a loving heart and a beautiful smile that can light up a room. But for the past 10 years, her life has been overshadowed by a devastating illness: schizophrenia.

For a decade, we have watched as this illness has relentlessly chipped away at her life. She has endured repeated mental health crises that have stolen her ability to move forward with her life and left her disabled. We still see Camille as a vibrant, God-loving, talented, young woman, but this illness continues to interrupt her life. We have lost count of the hospitalizations, outpatient doctors and treatment approaches.

As a family, we are heartbroken, but we have not lost hope. We believe she deserves a chance at a life where she can manage her illness and find joy and purpose again.

A New Approach: The AMEN Clinic

After extensive research, we have found a glimmer of hope in the AMEN Clinic in Dallas. The AMEN Clinic offers a revolutionary approach that goes beyond traditional psychiatry.

Instead of just treating symptoms, they work to find the root causes of a person's struggles by looking at the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual factors influencing their well-being.
A key part of their method is using brain SPECT imaging, a technology that helps doctors understand the blood flow and activity patterns in the brain.

This allows them to create a personalized, targeted treatment plan using the least toxic and most effective methods possible, often starting with natural treatments.

Their approach has brought new hope to many, with studies showing that 85% of their patients report a better quality of life after treatment.
We believe this comprehensive, brain-based approach could be the turning point our daughter so desperately needs.

Our "Waymaker" Campaign

The AMEN Clinic does not take insurance, and the initial, intensive evaluation and treatment plan costs $7,500. To raise these funds, we are starting this crowdfunding campaign.

We were inspired to call this a "Waymaker" campaign. While there isn't one specific website with that name for medical fundraising, we've seen many families use this theme on sites like GoFundMe to express their faith and trust in God to make a way when there seems to be no way.

That is our prayer for Camille—that a way will be made for her to heal.

Your donation, no matter how small, will be a part of making that way. It will give our daughter a chance to get the sophisticated care she needs and give our family hope for her future.

Please consider donating and sharing this campaign. Thank you for your compassion and support.

With heartfelt gratitude,

The Batchelor Family
