Hello everyone! My name is Mina Pomante, and I am the founder of a small 501c3 in Montgomery county PA,
Mutane Co. We are raising money for a cause that means a lot to us.
The program provides a debt-free, two-unit duplex (each 3 BR + 2 Bathrooms) with separate bedrooms for children in Pottstown designed specifically for single mothers who are poised for long-term homeownership. The project converts rental payments into wealth: families pay affordable rent, and 50% is returned at the end of the 24-month residency as a down payment toward purchasing their own home. Because the duplex is built and held with no debt, operating costs remain low, and savings can be redirected to participants rather than lenders.
Along The Way, our partners, provide coordinated, trauma-informed wraparound support to help each resident sustain the path to ownership. Along the Way (ATW) provides onsite wraparound stabilization—including childcare coordination, financial coaching, and behavioral-health navigation—ensuring sustained tenancy and readiness for ownership. The project directly advances PHARE priorities in affordable new construction, whole-person stabilization, trauma-informed care, and strong resource leveraging.
Project Goals and Objectives
(1)-Increase long-term housing stability and homeownership access for single mothers with children in Pottstown.
(2)-Build long-term economic mobility for single-mother families by pairing rent-to-equity savings with trauma-informed, relationship-based wraparound supports that address stability barriers and strengthen homeownership readiness.
(3)-Create a replicable, debt-free model of affordable homeownership that can be scaled to additional PA communities.
Mutane Co is 100% volunteer run and does incredible work, and I’ve seen firsthand how much of an impact they make in the lives of others. These funds will be used for the building of the housing on the property Mutane has already acquired.
