Ireland Mission Trip

Dear Friends,

I have been presented with an exciting ministry opportunity to travel with a team from TheBridge Foursquare Church in Christiansburg to travel to Galway, Ireland. The team will be ministering with Foursquare missionaries, Tim and Kristina O’Toole in May 2026.

Among the things we will be doing is helping with Darkness Into Light, a 5K event that was formed to raise funds for Pieta House. Pieta House counsels and supports people who are suffering from suicidal ideation and/or engaging in self-harm. As of 9 September 2022: 524 people in Ireland died by suicide in 2019 - 408 males (78%) and 116 females (22%.) The overall suicide rate was 11.0 per 100,000.  Pieta House offers 24-hour counseling for those who have been affected by suicide or are struggling with these types of things. This Darkness Into Light event raised over 54,000 Euros this past May. theBridge team has been asked to come and help facilitate the event. We are so humbled to be able to serve in this capacity.

The O’Toole’s are also involved in Serve the City that involves helping folks around the city with yard work, cleaning, covering graffiti and working with the City of Galway to help whatever the need. The team will be working on these projects as well.
