Gabby Benton Ecuador Mission Trip

My name is Gabby Benton.  Every year, the senior class at Salisbury Christian School has an opportunity to go on a short-term mission trip. This year, I am a senior and have the chance to go to Riobamba, Ecuador, and minister with my fellow seniors from May 22-28, 2027.

This year, our school will be joining Joshua Expeditions. They are a Christ-centered quality organization. Their purpose is to teach and share about the area we are serving and encourage students to develop their leadership skills while sharing the good news. They provide a mission director and a guide who will lead our class through the week's events and share the area with us as we are allowed to serve and share Christ’s love with the people in Riobamba.

While in Ecuador, I will engage with the local community and share the love of Jesus in tangible ways. We will visit indigenous villages in the Andes mountains, where we will do ministry in a local school, a senior citizen center, and a local church. We will assist in a light construction project at the church and will host church-camp-style events for the children. I am excited about going on this trip and the possibility of using my skills and abilities for the glory of God and the good of the people in Ecuador.

I realize that a trip and calling like this only happens with the involvement of others, so I would like to ask if you would consider supporting me as I prepare for my class mission trip. This will be my first mission trip, and for me to go, I must raise $3,000 which I cannot come up with alone. My class and I would appreciate your prayers so we may be open and obedient to what God would have us do while on our trip.
